CMM Choir is a group of keen amateur singers who meet regularly to learn and perform musicals by Roger Jones. The choir was formed in 1995 and is made up of members of churches from all over the West Midlands. We currently have about 75 members meeting in two different areas of Birmingham, which then come together to perform.
CMM Choir is open to anyone who enjoys singing and is looking for opportunities to give concerts in local churches and residential villages encouraging audiences and spreading the good news of Jesus. There is no need to audition (except for solo roles) – and you are welcome whether or not you read music.
If you would like to join the choir, rehearsals are at Harborne Baptist Church on Monday evenings, conducted by Helen Pollard, or at Christ Church, Ward End on Tuesday evenings, conductor by the choir’s Musical Director, Annie Routley*.

CMM Choir in Action
‘I love to sing and apart from the school choir in primary school many, many years ago have never had the opportunity to join and sing in a choir as l can’t read music. As it is not a requirement the CMM choir gave me that chance where l also met a group of warm and friendly people with whom l can share fellowship and through the music and words of the musicals we perform, learn more of the Bible and God’s love for us in a different way. Everyone is encouraged, no matter what their abilities and we are treated equally. When l am singing with the choir it feels like having a warm hug.’
‘The fellowship and welcome is always there. We all support one another in the good times and the bad. It is always good to mix with like minded people to worship, sing and praise the Lord’. – Joan & Lomas
*Please note that due to the Caronavirus pandemic, rehearsals are not taking place. If you would like to be informed when they recommence, please get in touch.
