Angel Voices – a worship musical based on themes from the Bible book of Revelation, by Roger Jones.
The musical begins in heaven with ‘Angel voices, ever singing’, where there is no sin, pain or darkness; a deep contrast to the world in which John, the apostle of Jesus, finds himself, exiled on the isle of Patmos! The musical explores worship around the throne of God, Satan’s downfall, Jesus as the Lamb of God, John’s letters to the churches and the idea of a new Jerusalem, all in 14 beautiful songs, including contemporary settings of traditional hymns ‘Angel voices’, ‘Holy, Holy, Holy’ and ‘O love that will not let me go’. Other highlights include ‘Coming with the clouds’ and the evocative ‘Are you in the book?’
First written and performed all over the UK in 1993/94, this revised ‘special edition’ concert version will premiere with a special massed choir and CMM soloists in Bromsgrove in March 2026, before being performed in various UK venues during 2026.
This performance will feature Christian Music Ministries Associate Singer
Devon Brown as John and will be conducted by Roger Jones.
The performance starts at 5pm and will last approximately 1 hr.
