Saints Alive is a musical telling the story of the birth of the Church on the day of Pentecost, showing the dramatic change which took place in the apostles, turning them from frightened and hopeless men to people who turned the world upside down.
It comprises 11 songs and lasts approximately 1 hour.
Written by Roger Jones, Director of Christian Music Ministries (CMM) and accomplished Composer.
Come and sing – join us for a fun day of rehearsal workshops learning the musical from 10am (ability to read music an advantage but not essential), lunch provided, and then presenting it at 5pm alongside a live orchestra.
Come and listen – doors open at 4.30pm for a 5pm presentation, conducted by the Composer. We need an audience – please come along and support us! Refreshments available afterwards – please do stay and say “hello”!

Come and spend the day learning and performing Roger’s new special edition of his 1993 musical Angel Voices, based on the Bible book of Revelation.
The musical begins in heaven with ‘Angel voices, ever singing’, where there is no sin, pain or darkness; a deep contrast to the world in which John, the apostle of Jesus, finds himself, exiled on the isle of Patmos! The musical explores worship around the throne of God, Satan’s downfall, Jesus as the Lamb of God, John’s letters to the churches and the idea of a new Jerusalem, all in 14 beautiful songs, including contemporary settings of traditional hymns ‘Angel voices’, ‘Holy, Holy, Holy’ and ‘O love that will not let me go’. Other highlights include ‘Coming with the clouds’ and the evocative ‘Are you in the book?’
Rehearsals on the day will be led by Annie Routley from CMM.
