Dear Friends,
There’s lots going on here at CMM, so do keep your eyes on our emails as there will be a couple more in quick succession before the end of the month. This first one is all about the events we have coming up:
1) Worship Works Week at Thornleigh, Grange-over-Sands, 30th August – 3rd September
We’re so excited about all the Lord wants to do with us this week. The teaching for this week will be suitable for absolutely everyone, but if you are someone who leads services or music then our prayer is you will find this particularly helpful. And Grange is such a beautiful place to be based. There are a still a few places left for the whole week, and it is also possible to come as a day visitor. Do get in touch with the hotel on office@thornleigh.org or call 015395 32733.
2) Wildfire Zoom Singalong – Monday 27th September, 8pm
While many are enjoying seeing people face to face, it is still good to meet together on Zoom when physical distance separates us! We have enjoyed our series of musical singalongs, and are looking forward to holding another on Monday 27th September at 8pm. This time the musical is Wildfire, so do contact events@cmm.org.uk to book your place.
3) Spirit Works, Water Orton – Saturday 9th October
On Saturday 9th October we’re thrilled to be holding our first Spirit Works event since the mission to Abu Dhabi in November 2019. We are holding this day in partnership with our friends at Water Orton Parish Church just to the North-East of Birmingham. Get this date in your diary – booking information to follow.
4) Three Wise Camels, a choir and an orchestra! – Saturday 6th November
Calling all singers, instrumentalists and those who love to be in the audience of something really special: we need you! On Saturday 6th November we are going to be gathering to learn and perform our latest musical, Three Wise Camels, at the Coton Centre in Tamworth. We have held several of these days in the past and they have been absolutely incredible. Don’t miss out! Bring your choir! Further information and booking options available on our website here.
It would be wonderful to see you at one (or all) of these events over the next few months. Whether on Zoom or face to face, in the words of the song from Snakes and Ladders, ‘It’s good to be together.’ (Our apologies for getting that one into your heads!)
God bless,
Roger
