13th December – Our new colleague Steven Robinson brings an hour of seasonal music and chat. Then Debra Mayo leads us through an hour of her usual inspiring and challenging songs and testimony.

6th December – We are thrilled to welcome Steven Robinson to the team! This week the whole team present an informal Christmas double-bill, featuring lots of seasonal music and chat.

29th NovemberRoger Jones talks to Warren Evans, CEO of Sports Chaplaincy, about his work and faith. Then ‘Merry or not, Christmas is coming!‘ – Graeme Russell brings on hour of music and chat.

22nd NovemberRoger Jones talks to Wendy Glyde – despite her physical disability Wendy had achieved great skill and creativity in her paintings and love for the people of China. This is a remarkable story of courage and faith and will inspire and challenge. Then we join Debra Mayo with her usual style of thoughts and music encouraging all our wonderful listeners.

15th NovemberRoger Jones talks to evangelist and singer song-writer Chip Kendall about his life and amazing ministry. Then Simon Gudger brings us a top 10 countdown of songs sung in churches throughout the world, not just the UK!

8th November Roger Jones talks to Natch Ayling about his life and ministry as Area Rep for the Overseas Missionary Fellowship. Then Graeme Russell leads us an hour of thoughts and tracks to lift your heart and bless your soul.

1st NovemberRoger Jones talks to the Director of the Scargill Movement, Phil Stone, about his life and ministry – recorded in front of a “live” audience at one of CMM’s music weeks. Then we join Debra Mayo for an hour with Noel & Tricia Richards and their music with some reflections.

25th OctoberRoger Jones talks to Steve Goddard about the forthcoming Christian Resources Exhibition (CRE) taking place next month in Solihull, Birmingham. We at CMM will be featuring both days, with seminars, the musical Saints Alive! and Heart & Soul interviews – Get your FREE ticket for CRE here. Then Annie Routley brings us an hour of Nostalgic TV Themes over 60 years.

18th October – First, Roger Jones talks to Debra Green OBE about her founding of Redeeming Our Communities ROC, which is making such an impact in our towns and cities. She has an amazing story and testimony! Then Graeme Russell is back with an hour of his usual great chat and music.

11th October – Roger talks to internationally known worship leaders and singer-songwriters Noel and Trish Richards – a really inspiring and informative interview. Then Debra Mayo brings us an hour of her favourite songs, hymns & worship.

4th OctoberChristian Creative Network (CCN) Director Josie Gamble was interviewed by Roger Jones to discuss creativity. Then CMM’s Annie Routley shares about the CMM Choir – our local community choir who have just celebrated their 25th anniversary.

27th September – Roger interviews speaker and evangelist Nancy Goudie, who has a remarkable story to share following a serious accident. Then we have “Talk Talk & Hush Hush” where Graeme Russell brings his usual hour of uplifting chat and music.

20th September – Roger interviews Helen Shapiro who made no. I at the age of 16 with ‘Walking back to happiness’, but there’s so much more to tell! [repeat] Then we join Debra Mayo for a smorgasbord of a selection of prayers and quotes along with sharing her thought process for encouragement and inspirational thoughts along with great music.

13th September – Roger talks to URC lay minister and drummer Keith Harrison about his life and ministry (recorded in front of a “live” audience at Beechwood Court, North Wales), on one of CMM’s music weeks. Then Annie Routley brings us an hour of “One track wonders” – CDs she bought for just 1 track!

6th September – Roger interviews Steve Goddard about his life and ministry and also about the forthcoming Christian Resources Exhibition (CRE) coming to Solihull in November. Then “It’s all in the mix!” – Graeme Russell brings an hour of his usual soothing and inspirational thoughts and music.

26th July – Roger speaks live from Rydal Hall, Cumbria – speaking to Wendy Sanders (musician and retired vicar) about her faith journey and especially of her experience in losing husband Paul during Covid. Then in her usual great style Debra Mayo brings us an hour of her “Upbeat Summer Vibes”.

19th July – Roger talks to former Premiership footballer Kristian Dimond about his career and faith [repeat]. Then Graeme Russell shares about “the dividing line” – his experience, plus some lovely songs.

12th July – Roger talks to song-writer, worship leader and glass engraver Phil Lawson Johnston about his faith and music – a really great chat! Then we join Dave Stansbie for his final show “Over and out’ – an eclectic mix of songs new and old for all tastes in Christian music.

5th July – Roger interviews Richard and Helen Salmon – former missionaries to Malaysia, now based in Weston-super-Mare – they share from a rich experience of God’s faithfulness. Then join Debra Mayo for Chillin’ and Quizin’.

28th June Roger Jones talks to composer, conductor, organist, pianist, teacher Paul Herrington about his faith and music. Then, Debra Mayo replays her chat with evangelist and author J John [repeat].

21st JuneAnnie Routley plays music from CDs that she bought just for one track! Then Dave Stansbie brings us an hour of ’Singing the Psalms’.

14th June – Roger reports back on the first ever Appledore Christian Music Festival, which featured Paul Field, Oakville Singers, “Saints Alive!” musical, Bright Lights Worship Circle and more! Then Graeme Russell, in his amazing way and silky voice brings: “What’s my theme? (Listen to find out!)”.

7th June – Roger Jones brings the 1981 original version and recording of his Pentecost musical Saints Alive! and shares about how important the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit are to him [repeat]. Then we join Debra Mayo for a Windback Wednesday with her interview with Amy Faith Morley – an amazing singer songwriter, and music from her album Abide with me [repeat].

31st May – Roger leads us with Music for Pentecost – an hour of Holy Spirit songs, thoughts and readings. Then Annie Routley shares music that she likes – nearly 60 mins of easy listening for the holiday week.

24th May – A special programme marking 5 years of broadcasting! Roger Jones repeats the first ever interview on the first-ever show talking to Jonathan Veira, internationally-known opera singer, pianist, composer. Then all the Heart & Soul presenters are together, live in the studio! Debra Mayo, Dave Stansbie, Graeme Russell & Roger Jones – you’ll hear some great chat and wonderful music!

17th May – Roger introduces Kay Morgan-Gurr, special needs advisor to Spring Harvest and Keswick, founder of Additional Needs Alliance, she brings a huge challenge to our churches and society. Then Debra Mayo is joined by Ruben and TT King from Harvest Temple Church in Wolverhampton.

10th May – Roger talks to Rev Dr Ian Paul – member of CE General Synod, Archbishop’s Council, speaker, author, publisher – a wonderful testimony of God’s guidance and presence. Then Dave Stansbie brings a beautiful and heart-felt message: Warwick Goulding – a tribute.

3rd May – Roger brings a Coronation special – songs for the King about the King of Kings, with contributions and requests of words and music from many CMM supporters and listeners. Then Graeme Russell brings us God on the Bathroom Floor – a beautiful and inspiring hour of testimony and music!

26th April – Roger talks to former CID officer, pub landlord and now Pentecostal pastor Nev Green about his faith journey and ministry. Then we join Debra Mayo for an hour of great music and reflections.

19th April – Roger talks to Brian Harley – URC Minister, former leader of GEAR (Group for Evangelism and Renewal) about his life and ministry. Then Dave Stansbie brings music and chat with Rev Richard Alford, a waterways chaplain.

12th April – Roger interviews Paul Field about his life and ministry, and plays some of his great tracks [repeat]. Then Graeme Russell shares happy thoughts in the light of Easter [repeat].

5th April – Roger brings Easter music including a recording of Aston Manor School‘s performance of his first ever musical Jerusalem Joy – a real inspiration for this special week! Then join Debra Mayo as she chats to musicians Diken Heart – two sisters Anointing and Amazing, and Ray Harris all from here in Birmingham.

29th March – Roger talks to conductor, arranger, broadcaster and lecturer Noel Tredinnick about his life and work, and plays some amazing choral and orchestral music. Then Dave Stansbie interviews Aaron Johnson, associate pastor and bass player, with some fascinating insights into his ministry.

22nd March – Roger interviews Spring Harvest presenter and vicar Chris Rogers, who shares of how his inner-city church has seen incredible growth. Chris, also an author and speaker talks enthusiastically about his faith journey. Then our CMM colleague Annie Routley makes her debut as a radio presenter and brings an hour of her favourite kind of music.

15th March Mary Withers talks to Roger Jones about her life and ministry, ie. Lay-Reader, Teacher, Harpist, Guitarist, involvement in founding Sensory Church and so much more. [repeat] Then we join Debra Mayo for a singalong, playing some great well known tracks – this will be a real blessing to you! [repeat]

8th March – Roger interviews Marilyn Baker and Tracy Williamson. Marilyn, a blind, trained singer song-writer who sees pictures from God, and Tracy, who is deaf, hears from God and writes devotionally. Then Dave Stansbie presents an hour of “Mission Musings” with thought-provoking music and chat.

1st March – Roger interviews Michele Guinness – born in a Jewish family and married to a retired Church of England minister, Michele is an author, regular broadcaster and speaker. Then Graeme Russell brings inspirational music and chat, including really helpful thoughts and insights on mental health.

22nd February – Roger interviews former professional footballer Krystian Dimond (Crystal Palace, Cardiff City, etc)- how on the cusp of an international career an injury devastates his plans – hear how things later turned out! Then join Debra Mayo for some great music and reflection!

15th February – Roger introduces Rev Chloe Hewitt, Curate of St Chad’s Church, Rubery. Chloe talks about her call to priesthood, her “new job” and brings us some unusual yet inspiring music. Then Dave Stansbie talks to singer-songwriter Barney Trevivian with music from Barney’s first album.

8th February – This week Roger interviews Helen Shapiro – she made no. 1 at the age of 16 with ‘Walking back to happiness’, but there’s so much more to tell. Then we join Debra Mayo for another chilled hour – always a blessing and inspiration.

1st February – Roger interviews Mark Stibbe, co-author of ‘Do dogs go to heaven?‘ You will be moved and encouraged! Then Debra Mayo presents another inspirational and relaxing chilled hour.

25th January – To mark the near end of Epiphany, Roger brings seasonal songs including his musical Stargazers, featuring soloists Devon Brown, Simon Gudger, Katie Leaver, Helen Pollard, Jonathan Chappell, Alan Walker and more CMM singers. Then Dave Stansbie features music and chat with Tim Harding founder of New Kapporet – A Christian Telephone Helpline.

18th January – Join Debra Mayo for two hours travelling back to the 1980’s. What was happening and what were we singing in church? You may be surprised! Kendrick, Bowater, Richards and a Roger Jones musical but which one? How many will you remember? How many do we still sing today?

11th January – The making of a musical – how ‘Three Wise Camels‘ came into being – featuring Jane and George Hicks, Annie Routley, Tim Jones, Chris King and others. Then Roger presents the entire musical, plus more chat and seasonal (Epiphany) songs.

4th January – Roger brings traditional and contemporary carols and readings. Then Dave Stansbie shares post Christmas music and musings.
