Dear CMM Friends,

We’ve just returned from a fabulous week at Rydal Hall, Cumbria, where we focussed on “Saints Alive!”, and looked at what the bible had to say about pentecost, and the power and gifts of the Spirit. It was a week in which we really enjoyed being together, making music and worshipping. Our holiday/retreat weeks are always such a joy and milestone in so many lives.

One joyous feature of the Rydal week was the presence of three amazing dogs, Honey, Pebbles and Wilson, who slept throughout all my Talks! (see photo!). As many of you know, we lost our beautiful Poppy last year, and we still miss her greatly.

Almost at the same time a new book came out, DO DOGS GO TO HEAVEN by Mark Stibbe and Nev Green, and I’ve found this so healing, inspirational and informative about various aspects of theology and our relationship with God, we have decided that for a short time we will market this at CMM.  I really do recommend this book to you, whether dog-owner or not. It has short, very moving chapters, and is really a conversation between two great writers.

For more details about the book and to order, visit the CMM Shop page here.

We have three CMM retreat/holiday weeks left this year, in Conwy starting next Saturday 24 June, then in August at Scargill House , which is already fully booked! So we really want to you encourage you to think about coming on our week at The Pleasaunce, Overstrand, Norfolk (23-27 October). Ring 01263 579 212, Email: thepleasaunce@cehc.org.uk or go to https://www.cehc.org.uk/centres/the-pleasaunce for further details.

Don’t forget every Wednesday 6-8pm there is our regular radio show “Heart & Soul”, which is accessible worldwide on www.brumsideradio.com and Alexa, plus DAB in Birmingham area. We continue to have some great guests and music.

Please keep in touch and do let others know about us! You’re our best way of advertising and promoting the work of CMM!

Roger
