Dear friends,

At the beginning of June, during the summer half-term, we led our first in-person event for many months – a music week at Rydal Hall in the Lake District. What a thrill it is to be seeing people face-to-face (or at least mask-to-mask) again! Annie has written a wonderful blog post on our new website about the event here. Here is a highlight:

“For me, it was such a joy after so many months to be able to minister God’s love to people through music. I wondered whether I would remember the songs, and whether I would have the confidence to lead worship after such a long time, but everything came back, on keyboard and viola. It was a joy and privilege to play whilst people were soaking in God’s presence at the end of meetings, and to see them receiving healing and peace. And we were able to pray with a number of people at various times during the week.”

The end of May was very busy for us, with the premiere of our annual Supporters’ Video where so many wonderful folks joined us online – you can watch again here. We also held another of our series of singalong evenings, this time SAINTS ALIVE! for Pentecost. See below for details of the next one.

Finally, in May we also shared a financial appeal with you all. We are so grateful to all of those who responded and who have given over the years – but we would like to encourage others to give. Our ministry is entirely supported by giving, as any money from sales goes straight back into producing more books and recordings. A video of the appeal can be seen below, and the giving page on our new website can be found here.

Upcoming Events:

Monday 05 July, 8pm – FROM PHARAOH TO FREEDOM Zoom Singalong
An evening hosted by the CMM team on Zoom where we play through and reflect on the musical together. Annie has been working hard creating lyric videos for us all to sing along to, and we’re so excited to see our friends online again. We will all be muted as we sing along. If you’d like one of the 100 places, email events@cmm.org.uk and Helen will add you to the list and send the Zoom code nearer the time. You also might like to get your copy of the vocal score if you want the music in front of you – available on the CMM shop or to download from Sheet Music Plus

11-17 July – Music Week, Beechwood Court, Conwy
Sadly the continuing Covid-19 restrictions mean that this week will no longer be a Torn Curtain week as hoped. Instead it will be much more like our week at Rydal above. Distancing means that places are very limited, but do get in touch with them on their website here.

30 August – 03 September – Worship Works Week, Thornleigh, Grange-over-Sands
A week of teaching and music based around teaching from our book, Worship Works. We hope that by then singing will be permitted and all restrictions lifted, so do book through their website here for a relaxed and joyful week in a beautiful location.

Saturday 09 October – Spirit Works, Water Orton, West Midlands
A day of teaching from our book, Spirit Works. Further details in a future mailing, but do get this in your diary now!

Saturday 06 November – THREE WISE CAMELS day, Coton Centre, Tamworth
A date for your diary at the moment, but we’re so excited to be able to welcome you all back to Tamworth for another massed choir and orchestra day. Booking details to follow very soon.

22-26 November – Worship Works Week, The Pleasaunce, Overstrand, Norfolk
As for Thornleigh above, a week of teaching on music in worship – not just for singers and instrumentalists, but for everyone who loves to worship Jesus! Book here.

And finally, don’t forget HEART & SOUL every Wednesday at 6pm on Brumside Radio, repeated on Thursdays at 11am. You can listen to our 2021 back catalogue here.

God bless you all!
